Cute domestic animals are usually not my thing, but I am in a mood to tidy up some loose ends, such as paintings started for fun, but never finished, because other artwork had priority.

As many artists do, rather than wrestle with one painting start to finish, I just work on one until some temporary roadblock gets in the way, then take a break from it to pursue something totally different on another board or canvas. This painting was laid aside unfinished so long ago that I had forgotten where it was until recently, when we were moving some major things around to make room for an unexpected visitor.

I looked it over and made some major changes to this piece, adding an orange kitten beside the gray party animal. There is little doubt here which one was most responsible for the tangle that binds the two together.

They’re looking for a home of course, if you care to adopt these exhausted rascals, I would appreciate it, for a small adoption fee. Send a note so we can talk - I have a frame for the painting, but you may want to have it framed yourself.
