It may not feel like crap but this caterpillar definitely looks like crap, and it’s a trick appropriate for April Fool’s Day. This creature looks like bird crap, specifically, and this caterpillar is a common sight on Florida citrus trees. If nothing eats it before it gets a chance to undergo metamorphosis - and no bird or other animal in its right mind would be interested in consuming what looks like a bird dropping - the crappy looking caterpillar will make a chrysalis from which it will eventually emerge as a large, gorgeous, Giant Swallowtail Butterfly.
In other great news today, it looks like the crew of Artemis 2 is safely launched and on its way to rendezvous with the Moon. There was but one glitch, I believe, and as it happens, it has to do with a missing part for the spacecraft’s toilet. I certainly hope they can improvise a solution to fix the crapper.
